Office VIsits

Your First Visit

At your first visit to our office, Dr. San Martín will conduct a free exam for you or your child. Diagnostic records will be taken which include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, photos, and digital X-rays. The doctor will then carefully examine the teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems, such as crowding, cross-bite, gaps, etc. Based on this information, Dr. San Martín will determine if you or your child would benefit from orthodontic treatment and if it is the correct time to start.

Once Dr. San Martín has a clear picture of the most likely course of treatment, we’ll discuss a custom treatment plan that addresses your unique needs. We will let you know how long it will take and estimate how much it will cost. Once finished, you’ll understand everything you need to know in order to decide whether to proceed with treatment.

Regular Appointments

If you are ready, we will schedule the appointment to get your new appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) placed. Getting appliances placed usually takes one to two hours. You’ll then see us at regular intervals four to eight weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes about 15 minutes.

Our team is here to serve you by appointment only, as continuing education and meetings do require the doctor to occasionally be out of the office. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. It is difficult to reschedule since most appointments are made 4 to 8 weeks in advance, so please, only cancel in an emergency.

Financial Options

Cost

Your smile is yours forever and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to receive the best care whenever you need it. The cost of your orthodontic treatment may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. During your visit, we’ll discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment plan options so that you are able to make the best choice for you and your smile. We will work with you to create an affordable payment plan that fits your budget and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.

Insurance

Our office staff is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork. We’ll work with your insurance provider and make sure everyone understands your insurance benefits.

Our practice accepts most major credit cards and insurance plans. Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage or payment options and let us know how we can help to make your entire orthodontic experience a pleasant one.

What our patients say

Dr. San Martín is a really great orthodontist. During my treatment in braces, he was always extremely patient and gentle. He always took the time to answer any questions I had. He is one of those doctors who is extremely knowledgeable in addition to the fact that he genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients; something that is harder and harder to come by these days! I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a positive experience with braces, for themselves or their kids!
